Everything regarding runes is covered, from their history and how to make your own rune sets to how to work with them on a psychic, spiritual, and magical level.
In a series of chapters dealing with rune pairs, you will learn the historical meaning of each individual rune and its use and meaning now, in contemporary culture. But as mentioned in the introduction, the real potential of the runes comes from internalising them and using their symbols as sources of wisdom and power. At the end of each chapter introducing and exploring the pairs of runes, there are rituals and spells for all levels of ability which help internalise their attributions, meanings, symbolism, and use. Further study in part two of the book expands the use of the runes in divination, guided meditations, and song.
First published by Weiser Books in 2005, this Weiser Classics edition includes a new preface by the author and a suggested reading list for further study.
Diana L. Paxson, a writer, priestess, and teacher, has been studying and teaching Germanic mythology and religion for nearly forty years. Paxson also pioneered the recovery of traditional Norse oracular practice.
